Subprocessors
Transparency into the third-party providers that help BotNira deliver communication, messaging and AI functionality.
Application & data layer
What is a subprocessor?
A subprocessor is a third-party organization that processes personal information on behalf of a processor in connection with delivering a service.
BotNira uses specialized providers for certain communication and AI functions while BotNira remains responsible for its application environment and customer-facing service.
Third-party service providers.
The following providers participate in specific BotNira functionality.
Twilio
Provides telecommunications infrastructure used by BotNira for applicable voice calls and SMS communications.
Meta / WhatsApp
Provides WhatsApp communication infrastructure used when customers communicate with a BotNira vendor through WhatsApp.
OpenAI
Provides AI processing through OpenAI API/business services for applicable BotNira functionality.
Which provider is involved in each channel?
BotNira uses different infrastructure depending on how a customer communicates with a business. Each channel is clearly identified so you can understand where third-party services are involved.
Phone Calls
Twilio provides telephone connectivity and acts as the communication bridge between the customer's phone network and BotNira.
Speech and AI processing may be performed through OpenAI services.
WhatsApp provides the messaging infrastructure used to transmit messages between customers and BotNira.
Where AI processing is required, relevant message content may be processed through OpenAI services.
Email communication is handled directly through BotNira infrastructure.
OpenAI may be involved when an AI-powered feature requires processing of the email content.
Website Chat
Website chat is provided and managed directly by BotNira without a separate messaging intermediary.
OpenAI may process content when an AI-powered feature requires it.
BotNira storage remains region-specific.
Third-party providers participate in specific communication or AI functions. BotNira's own retained vendor and customer data follows the regional architecture assigned to the vendor.
For example, US vendors use the US environment, Canadian vendors use the Canadian environment, and EU/EEA vendors use the European environment.
Third-party processing locations can differ from BotNira's storage location and are therefore disclosed separately.
Provider processing may involve multiple regions.
BotNira's regional storage architecture does not mean that every third-party processing operation occurs in the same country as BotNira storage.
Where applicable, international transfers must be evaluated under the laws governing the customer's data. For EU/EEA personal data, GDPR provides specific mechanisms for transfers to third countries, including adequacy decisions and Standard Contractual Clauses.
BotNira is currently formalizing its contractual and international-transfer framework for EU/EEA customer relationships.
